These walks are perfect for people of all ages and abilities, and they offer a great way to experience the beauty of North Wales.

  1. Aber Falls Walk

Where? Abergwyngregyn

Distance: 4.5km

Route: Aber Falls Walk

Aber Falls is one of the most popular waterfall walks in North Wales, and it's easy to see why.

This stunning waterfall is located near the village of Abergwyngregyn, in the foothills of the Carneddau mountains.

This beautiful waterfall drops over 120 feet into a deep pool below, surrounded by lush greenery and towering cliffs.

The trail to Aber Falls is a moderate 4.5km round-trip hike that takes you through beautiful woodlands and across a babbling brook to the base of the falls.

The walk to Aber Falls takes around 1.5 hours there and back. The trail is well-maintained and suitable for families with children or people with mobility issues.


2. Swallow Falls Walk

Where? Betws-y-Coed

Distance: 3.5km

Swallow Falls is another popular waterfall walk in North Wales, located in the beautiful town of Betws-y-Coed.

This magnificent waterfall is formed by the River Llugwy as it flows through a narrow chasm in the rock, creating a series of stunning cascades.

The walk to Swallow Falls takes you through beautiful woodland and along the banks of the river. The trail involves steep inclines and narrow paths.

It takes around 2 hours 30 minutes to complete the circular trail.

The best time to visit Swallow Falls is after a heavy rainfall when the water is at its most impressive.


3. Pistyll Rhaeadr Waterfall Walk

Where? Llanrhaeadr ym Mochnant

Distance: 5km

Route: Pistyll Rhaeadr Walks

Pistyll Rhaeadr is one of the tallest waterfalls in Wales, located in the beautiful Berwyn Mountains.

The walk to Pistyll Rhaeadr is slightly more challenging than some of the other waterfall walks on this list, but it's well worth it.

Hike through woodlands and steep narrow paths to the top of the waterfall for incredible views of the surrounding countryside.

The trail is around 3 miles round trip and takes around 2 hours to complete.

The waterfall itself is over 240 feet tall, and it's a truly impressive sight.


4. Conwy Falls Circular Walk

Where? Nr Betws-y-Coed

Distance: 1.5km

Conwy Falls is located in the beautiful Snowdonia National Park and it's one of the most picturesque waterfall walks in North Wales.

Walk through an enchanting ancient woodland, alongside a deep gorge before arriving at the picture-perfect waterfalls.

This majestic waterfall is over 50 feet tall, and is is set in 10 acres of SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest) native woodland.

The walk to Conwy Falls is relatively easy and takes around 1 hour to complete.

5. Watkin Path Waterfalls

Where? The Watkin Path, Yr Wyddfa

Distance: 8km

The Watkin Path Waterfalls are a stunning sight! The walk is about 8km round trip, so make sure you bring your comfy shoes. But don't worry, the scenery is so beautiful that you won't even notice the distance.

The path takes you through lush green forests, over babbling brooks, and past stunning mountain views.

When you reach the waterfalls, you'll be blown away by their natural beauty.

The cascading water, the misty air, and the sound of rushing water make for a truly magical experience.
