Starting small allows you to enjoy the experience without feeling overwhelmed. Trust me, even a 2-mile walk can be magical!


2. Invest in the Right Footwear

Good footwear is the foundation of a happy hike. A pair of lightweight, waterproof hiking boots with good grip is essential, especially on uneven UK trails.

Break them in before heading out - your feet will thank you. And don’t forget spare socks! Wet feet are a beginner hiker’s nightmare.
